AMC1304 is a precise Delta Sigma( ΔΣ) The modulator separates the output circuit from the input circuit through a capacitor double isolation barrier, which has a strong anti magnetic interference ability. According to DIN VDE V 0884-11, UL1577 and CSA standards, this barrier provides enhanced isolation up to 7000 VPEAK. The device is used together with the isolated power supply to prevent the noise current on the high common mode voltage line from entering the local system grounding and interfering with or damaging the low-voltage circuit.

Pin Configuration

The input of the AMC1304 is optimized for direct connection to shunt resistors or other low-voltage signal sources. The unique low input voltage range of ± 50 mv devices allows for significant power reduction through shunting while supporting excellent AC and DC performance. By using an appropriate digital filter (integrated on the TMS320F2807x or TMS320F2837x series) to remove the de bitstream, the device can achieve 16 bit resolution at a data rate of 78 kSPS, with a dynamic range of 81 dB (13.2 ENOB).

On the high side, the modulator is provided by an integrated low dropout (LDO) regulator that allows an unregulated input voltage between 4 V and 18 V (LDOIN). The isolated digital interface operates from a 3.3 v or 5 v power supply (DVDD). AMC1304 is packaged in a wide SOIC-16 (DW) package, and the application range is - 40 ° C to+125 ° C.
