Avago Technologies' industrial grade high temperature (-40C to 115C) AEDT-981x three-channel optical incremental encoder module. They provide a built-in interposer circuit and achieve high resolution in compact modules for motion control applications.
The device uses a code disc with an 11mm optical radius and can achieve a wide resolution from 2,000 (CPR) to 2,000 to 5,000 counts per revolution. With opto-ASIC's built-in automatic LED brightness adjustment technology, the encoder current consumption can be significantly reduced (typically 20mA), while maintaining the best encoder performance at every spatial angle. The LED brightness control function also enables optimal LED current control to extend LED life.
Rugged and precise encoders are suitable for a variety of commercial and industrial motion control applications, including motor control, robotics and factory automation.
