   Being less susceptible to interference, the XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor uses the principle of photoacoustic spectroscopy, which can significantly reduce the form factor at a lower price. Because PAS technique saves a lot of optical elements compared with NDIR technique. The sensitivity of sensor to interference is reduced.

    The equipment is suitable for demand-controlled ventilation systems, air conditioners and air purifiers, CO2 ventilation alarm and emission control, indoor air quality monitoring and Internet of Things, smart home and smart city management. The combination of small size (13.8mm x 14mm x 7.5mm) and SMD technology makes it easier to integrate into volume applications.

      The sensor uses advanced compensation and self-calibration algorithms to provide persistent and consistent high measurement quality. Measurement accuracy in the range of 0 to 10,000 PPM (specified) is ±30ppm or ±3% of the measured value.

    Xensiv PAS CO2 Sensor2Go Evaluation Kit and Xensiv PAS CO2 Mini Evaluation Board are development components provided by Infineon. The Sensor2Go evaluation kit is ideal for simple plug and play via a micro USB cable, while the Mini evaluation board is an economical and efficient way to integrate sensors into the development board using standard pins.
