The latest news from Harwin is an extension of its popular 1.27mm pitch Archer M50 product portfolio and new IDC connectors. The Archer family can be distinguished in three ways: price, parts cost-effectively a few percentage points higher than competitors; instant availability, a large number of storage devices can be shipped immediately in Harwin and its distribution channels; reliability and high quality.
The new two-row Archer connectors that have been added to the existing IDC series are 12, 14 and 16 position connectors. Configurations include through-hole and SMT-format ejector plugs mounted on the PCB for male IDC DIP transitional and female IDC receptacle connectors for ribbon cables. Surface mount equipment is packaged on tape and reel for easy automatic placement.
The main advantages of the Archer series are cost-effective, fast termination (which can minimize installation costs) and safe and reliable cable retention (docking but reliable locking). The parts have high mechanical strength and high contact density.
