Data di Pubblicazione: 2022-10-18, U-Blox America Inc.

u-blox, a leading global provider of positioning and wireless communications technologies and services, has released the latest firmware for the ZED-F9R High Precision GNSS inertial navigation module to expand its range of positioning enhancement services. With the implementation of the firmware update, u-blox ZED-F9R-03B will support SPARTN 2.0 and QZSS CLAS correction services, expanding the ZED-F9R module application market coverage while improving application scalability.

Easy and efficient implementation and quick access to high-precision positioning data are critical for today's autonomous vehicles and industrial applications, even in signal-constrained environments such as densely populated cities, and the ZED-F9R module, which supports RTK (real-time dynamics) functionality, is a perfect fit for these applications. Common applications include slow-moving usage scenarios, such as autonomous lawn mowers and shared electric scooters.

The ZED-F9R module integrates an inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that supports RTK localization, and its advanced built-in algorithm fuses IMU data, GNSS measurements, wheel speed pulses, calibration service data, and vehicle dynamics models to provide centimeter-level positioning accuracy even in the event of short-term loss of GNSS signals. The ZED-F9R module is based on the u-blox F9 multi-frequency GNSS platform and can track up to four GNSS constellations simultaneously, thus providing high quality positioning accuracy.

"Our new ZED-F9R-03B high-precision GNSS module supports SPARTN 2.0 and QZSS CLAS, enabling designers to bring high-precision solutions that require inertial navigation technology to a wider range of regions, thereby increasing product economies of scale. "u-blox also launched PointPerfect, a service that provides calibration data based on the SPARTN protocol." -- Alex Ngi, Industrial Navigation and Robotics Product Manager, u-blox Positioning Product Center
