Turck's CMTH combined humidity and temperature sensor is now available in a compact version with improved IIoT integration for smart condition monitoring applications. With a length of only 57 mm, an operating temperature range of -40 to +100 °C, and an IP67 rating, the sensor in an M12 housing can be used even in challenging environments. The provided interface also provides simple integration: the standard IO-Link Smart Sensor Profile (version 4.1.2.) with 64-bit, two channels simplifies the configuration of network systems for third parties.
In Simple I/O mode (SIO), the sensor outputs a temperature switch signal and a humidity switch signal. This mode is particularly suitable for retrofitting climate data in existing applications where digital interfaces such as IO-Link are rarely available. The IO-Link mode has advantages in modern plants or machines, since CMTH smart sensors can not only output continuous process values, but also calculate eg local problem points. Users requiring long-term analysis will benefit from the configured histogram functionality.
The CMTH is particularly suitable for monitoring climatic conditions in production and warehouse buildings, for all departments handling humidity- and temperature-sensitive goods, and the digital interface also simplifies sensor commissioning. Turck's IO-Link master enables device commissioning via the master's integrated web browser without any additional software.
